The annual Fireman's Banquet was held Sunday evening at the American Legion building with 65 present. Jess Seibel was given a gift from the department for his loyal support as a fireman. He recently retired with 13 years service.
Mr. and Mrs. Alan Mellott and Shelli spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Jon Brooks and girls.
Jack Walker, Muriel Wolfersperger, Tom Grosse, and Guy Meirowsky are the four nominees for city council as decided in Tuesday's primary election.
The old Nazarene church building is being demolished this week. This is part of the site preparation for construction of the low rent housing project on the former Nazarene property.
