Walter Derby is laid up from an unfortunate accident which happened in the store. Mr. Derby had just finished putting in a new shipment of flour upon the shelves when for some reason the sacks began falling, knocking him from the top of the step ladder upon which he stood, to the floor and burying him in flower sacks, with the exception of his head. He was badly bruised, one limb particularly, which was also twisted. A railroad truck which happened to stand in the way was smashed, one wheel being pushed through the floor. Mr. Derby will probably be confined to his home for some time.
