Tom Kelley came near getting killed last Saturday morning. One of his horses kicked him on the hip and he lay in the barn two hours, unable to get to the house. He finally managed to crawl there and was alone without help of any kind or fresh water to drink all day. Toward night he crawled back to the barn yard and turned his horses loose. He was another two and a half hours getting back to the house again. Sunday morning, F.D. Milbourne saw one of Tom's horses in his barn yard and as he didn't come after it, Mr. Milbourne and M.G. Eaton, fearing something was wrong, went down to Tom's and found him sitting in the kitchen but unable to help himself. Dr. Furst was called. It will be some time before he is able to get around again. He is a bachelor and lives alone.
