The Peabody Chamber of Commerce named Harold Dyck, retiring president, "Man of the Year in Peabody."
Mike Jones of Peabody who is in the School of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University, Manhattan, has been notified he passed the national board examination for students of veterinary medicine.
Funeral services were held Saturday for Osmond "Ossie" Herbert, Peabody, former Marion County Commissioner. He was 68.

L.E. Tucker has accepted an appointment as federal supervisor at an egg processing plant in Erie where he will start his duties March 1.

Bragunier's new store, the ground for which was broken last week, will be 100 feet long and 22 1/2 feet wide (inside measure). By taking part of Kollock's Bank wall, he gets an extra width.
There will be a meeting of the shareholders of the Peabody Creamery Company, held at the rooms of the Peabody Literary Society, over Shupe and Tressler's Bank, on Friday evening, Feb. 2 at 7:30 o'clock p.m.
Doc Grinnell will attend the meeting of the State Eclectic Medical Association at Topeka next week.
