We enjoyed Kathy Fish Monday afternoon as she read stories of the past. We talked about Halloween pranks and some of our school days memories.
A large group enjoyed a music appreciation class Tuesday morning. The surrey took a number of residents around town after lunch in the warm fall weather. Parkside dominoes group played a number of games during the late afternoon. Cookies and coffee were enjoyed during the games. Ike Thiessen and Dave Classen were high scorers.
The smell and taste of freshly made donut holes were enjoyed Wednesday morning as we read the weekly newspapers. We discussed the idea of a casino nearby and other articles in the papers. Pastor Roy Keller led the afternoon Bible class. Vanilla ice cream was the treat of the afternoon.
Folks enjoyed sharing early schoolhouse memories Thursday. Some residents brought items to share. Hilda Knak shared wooden vehicles her husband Eldon had made for grandchildren. Ruby Pschigoda shared the cross-stitch scarf she is making. Hillsboro Middle School students brought a program on the Kansas quarter. We enjoy time with the students.
Gene Magnuson taught morning Sunday school class. Hillsboro United Methodist Church brought the afternoon worship service.
