Daniel Heyman
Daniel Clair Heyman, 86, of Los Angeles, Calif., died Dec. 31, 2004.
Born Nov. 13, 1918, at Burns, he was the son of Henry and Pauline (Schwarz) Heyman.
He attended DeGraff Grade School, Burns High School, and Emporia State Teachers College.
He served in the U.S. Navy onboard the USS Lake Champlain aircraft carrier during World War II.
In 1939, he moved to Los Angeles, Calif. He was employed by Douglas Aircraft Company for 22 years, then worked for Hughes Helicopters, retiring in 1984.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie; four daughters, Sharon Carter of Sacramento, Calif., Debbie Heyman of Redondo Beach, Calif., Beverly Busby of Manhattan Beach, Calif., and Janet Heyman of Westchester, Calif.; two sisters, Henrietta Heyman of Petaluma, Calif., and Barbara Thimm of Wichita; and three grandchildren.
A memorial mass was held Jan. 13. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Culver City, Calif.
Memorial funds have been established with Alzheimer's Association and VITAS Hospice Charitable Fund.
