Customers appreciated at Burns Cafe and Bakery
Staff writer
Burns Café and Bakery celebrated nine years of business Saturday night with a customer appreciation dinner.
The corner of Broadway and Washington streets was closed off and more than 450 diners were fed hamburgers with all the trimmings. Homemade pie and ice cream were served for dessert.
"It was a great success," said Rachel Koehn. "Many of the folks who came said the evening reminded them of when the streets in Burns would close down and the people would gather to eat and enjoy each other's company.
"It was a lot of fun."
