Cross country team medals at Leon

Several members of Peabody-Burns High School cross country team received medals Thursday at Leon. Twenty-one high schools and 26 middle schools participated in the large meet.
Andrew Topham received a sixth place medal in the varsity boys' 5K. Tiana McGee medaled 10th place in the girls' varsity two-mile run. Kate Topham also medaled at 15th.
Duane Unruh medaled at sixth place. Ryan Wiebe received a 12th place medal, while Ethan Riggs received 18th in the freshmen 5K.
Jesse Riggs medaled at 16th in the junior varsity 5K.
Participating in the seventh grade mile, Aaron Topham medaled at 13th place. In the eighth grade two-mile, Kendall Wiebe medaled at 22nd.
The team will travel Thursday to Marion.
