Criminal division
The following information has been filed in the criminal division of Marion County District Court:
Cassandra A. Scheuerman, nine counts of giving a worthless check less than $500; bond appearance hearing was July 3; arraignment hearing at 1:30 p.m. July 21.
Corey Allen Buttram, theft value of less than $1,000; bond appearance hearing at 10:30 a.m. July 8.
Daniel J. Stover, giving a worthless check less than $500; first appearance hearing at 10:30 a.m. July 21.
Ronna Ruth Harris, two counts of giving a worthless check less than $500; first appearance hearing at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 12.
Michael L. Myers, disorderly conduct; first appearance hearing at 10:30 a.m. July 8.
Roscoe J. Czarnowsky, hearing at 1:15 p.m. Aug. 25.
Michael Sullivan, defendant was placed on supervised probation again for 12 months with community corrections.
Donald Scott Jr., upon motion of the county attorney, the state moved to withdraw the motion to revoke probation.
Eric J. Williams, possession of simulated controlled substances or drug paraphernalia (violation date of Nov. 4, 2007); upon motion of the county attorney, the state moved to dismiss this case without prejudice pursuant to a plea in another Marion County criminal case, costs were assessed to the state.
Eric J. Williams, DUI (second conviction), purchase/consumption of alcoholic liquor or cereal malt beverage by a minor, driving while license suspended, transporting an open container (violation date of Dec. 17, 2007); the defendant pleaded no contest to counts one and four, upon a motion by the county attorney, the state dismissed counts two and three with prejudice; pre-sentence investigation report due to the court by Aug. 6; sentencing hearing at 11 a.m. Aug. 12.
Brian Anderson, furnishing alcohol to a minor; upon motion of the county attorney, the case was dismissed without prejudice and costs and fees assessed to the county.
Donald R. Phillips Jr., possession of depressants, stimulants, hallucinogenics, anabolic steroids, possession of simulated controlled substances or drug paraphernalia; defendant sentenced to a controlling sentence of 30 days for count two in the custody of Marion County Sheriff which was suspended; defendant was placed on immediate probation for three months with a court services officer and a period of nine months unsupervised; defendant is ordered to obtain an alcohol/drug evaluation and follow all recommendations at own expense, shall serve 48 hours in Marion County Jail for every positive drug/alcohol test, refusal to submit, or admission of usage; ordered to refrain from the use of illegal drugs, pay court costs of $128, BIDS fee of $100, a booking fee of $45, and court-appointed attorney fee of $600, all fees shall be paid in full prior to probation being converted to unsupervised.
Lamonte P. Davis Jr., battery; bench trial held and defendant was found not guilty; court costs and attorney fees assessed to the county.
Kelly D. Parsons, original charges of two counts of possession of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs, two counts of possession of depressants, stimulants, hallucinogenics, steroids, possession of simulated controlled substances or drug paraphernalia, speed; defendant sentenced to a controlling sentence of six months for count three, a six-month controlling sentence for count four, and a six-month controlling sentence for count five to be consecutive to each other in the custody of Marion County Sheriff which was suspended; all other charges were dismissed; defendant was placed on immediate supervised probation for one year with a court services officer, shall serve 48 hours in Marion County Jail for every positive drug/alcohol test, refusal to submit, or admission of usage; obtain an alcohol/drug evaluation and follow all recommendations at own expense, refrain from the use of illegal drugs or those not prescribed to the defendant, must follow prescription for prescribed drugs, pay court costs of $163, probation fee of $25, KBI lab fee of $400, and booking fee of $45.
