Courtney Schmill receives LPN pin
Courtney Schmill recently received her Licensed Practical Nurse pin at a pinning ceremony at Wichita Area Technical College.
During her last semester, she received a grant from PEO International to help complete her education.
Since its inception in 1860, PEO has taken an active role in the promotion of educational opportunities for women. Schmill was chosen out of a class of 30 to compete for this national grant and an awards ceremony was held at the college.
Schmill plans to continue her employment with Halstead House until completing the state nursing boards. She plans to continue her education and hopes to earn a BSN.
She is the daughter of Gene and Sharon Schmill of Peabody.
