Couple to be married in Kona, Hawaii
Lisa Dawn Edwards and Curtiss Leith Schlesener, both of Herington, announce their engagement.
Parents of the bride are Pat and LaDonna Whetzell of Farlington, Mike and Cathy Edwards of Girard. Parents of the groom are Jim and Shirley Beisel of Peabody and Daryl and Leslie Schlesener of Herington.
Grandparents of the couple are Betty Noe of Farlington, Gary Edwards of Nevada, Mo., Wilbur and Faye Pearson of Simpson, Virgil and Laurene Schlesener of Herington, the late James Noe, and the late Paula Edwards.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Girard High School and attended Kansas State University. She is employed by the Herington Post Office as a letter carrier.
Her fiancé is a graduate of Peabody-Burns High School, Newton Vo-Tech, and is a self-employed partner in Jones, Beihler & Schlesener Construction LLC.
The couple will be married July 11 at Kona, Hawaii. A reception in Kansas will be held at a later date.
