Couple sets July wedding date
Emily Smith and Joel Goering, both of Kansas City, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
Parents of the couple are Randy and Ann Smith of Hillsboro and Peter and Sara Fretz-Goering of Silver Spring, Md.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Bethel College and is a social worker in Johnson County.
Her fiancé is a graduate of Bethel College and a community organizer for a non-profit organization in Kansas City.
The couple plans to be married July 1 at Shalom Mennonite Church, Newton.
