County stop sign damaged by vandals

At 10 p.m. Sept. 16, criminal damage to county property was reported at Remington and 240th roads when unknown suspects ran over a stop sign. Damage was listed as $30, reported Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Josh Whitwell.

At 8 a.m. Nov. 3, a theft of a cell phone was reported by a Marion County resident. The phone was left on a school bus and was taken, reported Deputy Whitwell.

An unknown suspect entered the Lincolnville Community Center and City of Lincolnville shop sometime between Nov. 7 and Nov. 22, and removed various items. An electric heater, 12 cement metal forming stakes, a battery charger, and rebar was taken. Undersheriff Randal Brazil reported the loss at $350.

A 1991 Ford Taurus station wagon, that was left in a ditch in the 900 block of Eagle Road for three days following a non-injury accident, was vandalized between Nov. 20 and Nov. 23. Three side windows were broken on the vehicle owned by Esley E. Schmidt, Waverly. Total damages were listed as $550 by Deputy Michael Vineski.

Two flatbed farm trucks were reported stolen from a field at 120th and Jade on Nov. 23. Unknown suspects drove the two trucks, both 1980 GMC models, from the field and then parked them north of 120th on Jade in the roadway, reported Undersheriff Brazil.
