County shop road equipment damaged
Peabody police investigated damage to a Marion County road maintenance vehicle this past Wednesday at the county shop on West 1st Street, Peabody. "A brick was thrown through the window of the maintainer," said police chief Jeff Pohlman. "And a large rock was tossed through a glass window on the south side of the shop."
Harvey Grosse, county employee, discovered the damage Wednesday morning when he arrived at work.
Pohlman estimated damages at $500.
Anyone with information about the vandalism should call Peabody police at 983-2133.
On Oct. 19 police investigated a domestic dispute at 115 West 5th Street. A verbal disagreement took place between occupants of the home. No arrests were made.
Police also are investigating the Oct. 16 theft of an air compressor from 402 North Elm. The compressor had been left outside. Pohlman states the value is $200.
"Again," he said, "if anyone has information on who might have taken this equipment they should contact an officer."
