Councilmen seek re-election
Shelby Dierks and Byron McCarty, incumbent Hillsboro City Council members from District 1 and District 2, respectively, have filed for re-election to their districts.
No other candidates have filed.
The general election will be held April 4.
Voter registration will be open until March 20 for the general election.
There will be a primary election Feb. 28 for Marion city voters who will narrow the field of 13 candidates to eight candidates.
Four members will be chosen from the remaining eight candidates in the April 4 general election.
Also at the April 4 election, there will be another decision for patrons of USD 408 regarding new facilities to be paid with a bond.
No other cities are holding elections this spring.
