CORRESPONDENTS: Milton: Holiday events reported

Marvin and Sherol Nightengale hosted a post-Christmas celebration Sunday for all their children. Present were Mitch, Cathy, and Kristen Foote of Manhattan, Jim and Linda Hess, Allie and Amelia of Kearney, Mo., and Brad and Diane Nightengale, Roger, Laura, and Casey of El Dorado. Casey and Allie were guests until Wednesday and Laura and Casey were Friday overnight and Saturday guests. Leroy and Norma Riggs of Marion were Saturday afternoon callers.

Al, Bonnie, and Shelby Plummer went to Kansas City Friday evening and met Martin and Kayme Voelker, Alyson and Abbie and all attended the KU game. Al and Bonnie returned home Sunday and Shelby went home with the Voelkers. She will return home on Friday.

Bonnie Plummer's brother Corky Lambert of Murray, Ky., came by Thursday and took their mother Florence Lambert to her home in Norton. She had been visiting the Plummers for a few days.

Sandy Sayers of El Dorado was a guest of her parents Lawrence and Lois Sayers on New Year's Day.

Bruce and Sheila Sayers, Sara, Devon, Megan, and Jessica left for Branson, Mo., Friday morning and returned home Sunday afternoon.

Ty Gaines of Emporia was a guest of his parents on Saturday. Dusty Gaines of Newton was a Sunday dinner guest and in the afternoon attended the open house for Don Gillet's 70th birthday at the Peabody Senior Center. Others from this community attending the party were Marvin and Sherol Nightengale, Mary Langenegger, and Joyce Kyle. It was a lovely party.

Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee hosted a post-Christmas dinner and supper for Royce and Rachel Koehn, Jenny, Charity, Charlotte, and Lanae of Jamesport, Mo., Nathan and Ella Koehn, and Roland and Kim Koehn, Deby, Doug, Kayla, and Diana. Sunday evening callers were Arnold and Naomi Koehn, Margy Jantz, and Lena Koehn of Newton.

Monday supper guests of the Renferd Koehns were Richard and Cheryl Koehn of DeRidder, La., Chester and Arlene Koehn, Matthew and Vickie Koehn, Kendra and Shayla, Steve and Barbara Koehn, Miana and Jared, and Diane and Beverly Koehn of Newton.

The Eden Mennonite Church is holding revival meetings for the next two weeks. Visiting ministers are Robert Holdeman of Lobbleville, Tenn., and Harold E. Schmidt of Faunsdale, Ala.

Mary Langenegger and Joyce Kyle were Dec. 29 dinner guests of their brother and his wife, Jim and Beulah Gehring, at Moundridge for a belated Christmas gathering.

Kathleen Brenzikofer, Mary Langenegger, and Joyce Kyle attended the funeral and burial of Ruth Bolen on Saturday.
