Clarence Hiebert
Clarence Hiebert, 78, of Hillsboro, died Nov. 14, 2005.
The son of C.N. and Tina (Harms) Hiebert, he was born July 12, 1927, at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
He was a professor of religious studies.
On Sept. 1, 1950, he married Ferne Kornelson.
He was a member of Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ferne of Hillsboro; two sons, Tim Hiebert of Cheney and Bob Hiebert of Charlotte, N.C.; two daughters, Beth Klassen of Moundridge and Sue Scheer of Hamilton, Ohio; brother, Erwin Hiebert of Boston, Mass.; two sisters, Martha Richert of Bakersfield, Calif., and Naomi Dyck of Fresno, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wohlgemuth Center lobby on the Tabor College campus.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Mennonite Church, Hillsboro, with Pastor Dave Plett officiating.
A memorial fund has been established with Tabor College, Hillsboro.
