City announces schedule for mosquito spraying
Peabody city employees hope that spraying three days in June will be enough to keep the mosquito population down for the July Fourth Celebration. During the rest of the months (May to October) the city only will get sprayed twice a month. June 7, 21, and 30 are the spraying dates preceding Peabody's annual celebration.
Then it will be done July 12 and 26, Aug. 9 and 23, Sept. 6 and 20, and if pests still are active in October the city will spray Oct. 11 and 25.
All dates are tentative according to city administrator Jeff Benbrook. "It will depend a great deal on weather conditions," he said.
