Christmas wishes shared
If you could wish for anything for Christmas what would it be?
Annette Elliott, Peabody-Burns Junior/Senior High School secretary: "I'd wish for my children to be healthy for an entire year."
Carmen South, customer at Sharon's Korner Kitchen: "A player piano from Omaha delivered to my basement. That's my wish!"
Jay Christensen, Peabody postmaster: "Early retirement would be nice. My wife would appreciate that because I could spend more time with my kids."
Cindy Harms, city clerk: "That my mother was still here with me for Christmas and that my children could know her."
Janice Woodruff, waitress at Sharon's Korner Kitchen: "Good health for everyone."
Teresa McGonigal, waitress at Sharon's Korner Kitchen: "For everyone to stay healthy and be happy. And a million dollars in my bank account wouldn't be bad."
Janie Hodges, employee at Baker Furniture and Carpet: "I would like for the world to take a deep breath and calm down. An extension of that would be to bring back a good economy."
Patsy Litton, pharmacy assistant at Don's Drugs: "I'd like to see more local support for our community and the merchants. It's getting tougher and tougher to attract shoppers and keep businesses in Peabody."
John Schmeling, WSU freshman and employee at Sharon's Korner Kitchen: "I wish for more customers in here so I would have something to do. Put that in the paper because I didn't get Sharon a Christmas present, so my wish will have to be her present."
