Charles King Sr.

Charles D. King Jr., 79, died July 19, 2004, at Peabody.

Born July 19, 1925, in Wichita, he was the son of Charles D. and Susan (Smith) King Sr.

On Oct. 29, 1960, he married Janet Dutcher in Miami, Okla.

Born and raised in Wichita, he was a resident of Mulvane for many years. He was a Boeing flight line aircraft mechanic who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.

King was a veteran of World War II and Korea.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Janet of Peabody; a son, Michael King of Peabody; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Keith Timmermeyer of Peabody; and a sister, Virginia Middleton of Wichita.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Baker Funeral Home, Peabody, with Pastor Jim Pohlman officiating.

Burial was in Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

A memorial fund was established with American Lung Association.
