Chamber learns about local business
Florence Chamber of Commerce members learned more about Hawkeye Tire and Road Service during the "Get to Know Your Member" portion of the April 7 luncheon meeting held at the senior center.
Toni Fletcher represented Hawkeye Tire and Road Service, her husband, Dan's business. She said Hawkeye has been in business for one-and-a-half years in Florence and includes six trucks and drivers. Toni is the postmaster in Cedar Point. Dan and Toni have two children and live in Cedar Point.
Randy Dallke volunteered to share next month about his business.
Sue Klassen, representing the PRIDE Committee, reported Spring Fling went well and was a huge success. She also gave a report on the upcoming bike ride "Tour De Florence," set for May 2.
It was reported the swimming pool fund-raising committee, consisting of Dan Ludwig, Ed Robinson, Darla Gore, and Trayce Warner, were to meet April 12.
Members were reminded of the annual Easter Egg hunt Saturday at Grandview Park, sponsored by the chamber.
