Celebrations mark Gaines' birthday

Ronnie and Patti Gaines were Tuesday supper guests of Maude Gaines. They were celebrating Patti's birthday. They went to Shiloh Manor in Canton Wednesday evening and ate supper with Patti's mother, Esther Highfill, and with Kenneth and Roma Koehn of Galva. Patti had a lot of celebrations and enjoyed all.

Marvin and Sherol Nightengale went to El Dorado Thursday evening to see Roger Nightengale play baseball.

Lois Sayers' sister Mary Archer and her grandson Daniel Archer of Cottonwood Falls visited Lawrence and Lois Saturday afternoon.

The Renferd Koehn family had a busy week helping with Nathan Koehn's sale and enjoying family. Renferd's sister and family Noah and Vernella Peachy, Laura and Catherine and foster children Marissa, Andrew, and Samantha of Belleville, Pa., came Monday to the home of Roland and Kim Koehn, Deby, Doug, Kayla, and Diana and stayed until Monday when they returned to Pennsylvania. Nathan and Ella Koehn and Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen and Carolee were Monday evening supper guests at the Roland Koehn home.

Royce and Rachel Koehn, Jenny, Charity, and Lanae of Jamesport, Mo., arrived at the Renferd Koehn home and were their guests until Sunday afternoon when they returned home. All the Koehn families were supper guests Thursday evening at the home of Renferd and Wanda. All got together Sunday and had dinner at the Roland Koehn home.

Lisa Livingston and baby Ryan Elaine of Derby came to spend Friday and Saturday with her parents, Bruce and Sheila Sayers, Devon, Megan, and Jessica. Rick Livingston came for them Sunday afternoon. Joyce Kyle was invited to the Sayers home Friday evening to see the new baby. She is a sweet baby.

Joyce Kyle attended the grand opening of the new Burns Community Building Wednesday afternoon. The crowd was awesome. She attended the memorial service for Butch McAllister Sunday afternoon at the Burns United Methodist Church. Butch was a neighbor boy many years ago and I have many fond memories of him.
