Careless driver rolls vehicle in Central Park

A roll-over accident occurred Saturday in Central Park, Marion, when a driver of a vehicle struck a large rock at the springs and caused the vehicle to rollover. The driver was issued a citation for driving in violation of license restrictions. There were no injuries.

April 3: A Marion police officer investigated a complaint of suspicious activity. A subject met with an officer regarding a harassment complaint. Marion EMS personnel received assistance with an injured juvenile at Warrior Stadium.

Tuesday: Two warnings were issued for inoperable headlights. Two dogs running at-large, were picked up and transported to Animal Health Center of Marion County.

Wednesday: An open business door was discovered; the building was checked and secured. An officer checked a complaint of an ATV operating on South Third Street.

Thursday: A lost motorist received assistance. A complaint of suspicious activity was investigated.

Friday: Road obstructions were removed in the 400 block of South Cedar and 500 block of North Lincoln streets, and city crews removed a tree from a roadway in the 500 block of North Cedar Street due to high winds. A warning was issued for a J-turn.

Saturday: Officers checked a report of suspicious activity in the 200 block of South Cedar Street. A stranded motorist received assistance.

Sunday: A report of a subject throwing a juvenile in the springs in Central Park was investigated; another report indicated the subject was seen with female juveniles in the park; it was determined the subject was camping behind the park and was escorted out of the county and told not to return. An officer worked with another agency regarding a juvenile runaway. Parents of a runaway met with an officer; the juvenile's vehicle was impounded until the parents could retrieve it.

Officers drove 642 miles, and issued one citation, three warning citations, and made one arrest.
