Campbell's label program going strong at PES
One of the things Peabody and Burns community members can do for the school system in these times of financial uncertainty is save labels from Campbell's products.
For more than 30 years the Campbell Company has had its Labels for Education program in place. The Peabody Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization has been actively involved in the program for 10 years.
Each year the labels, lids, and UPC codes are redeemed for playground equipment and other school items. Campbell's has delivered nearly $100 million in merchandise to participating schools in the United States.
Eligible products including Campbell's, Swanson, Franco-American, Prego, Pace, Pepperidge Farm, and Healthy Request have a pencil-shaped reminder symbol on the package.
The goal at Peabody Elementary School is to have 5,000 labels to turn in to the company by June 1, 2003. People wishing to donate labels or find out more about this program should call Brenda Riggs at 983-2428.
