Staff writer

PBHS Lady Warriors split two league contests this past week. The squad was defeated Tuesday by the Burrton Chargers by a score of 50-48, but came back to beat the Berean Academy Lady Warriors Friday in overtime, 71-67.

The Lady Warriors now are 4-6 on the season and 4-1 in league play. They will play Ell-Saline at home Tuesday and prepare for the Berean Tournament Jan. 27 to Feb. 3.

The contest with Burrton was very even in the first quarter of play. Threes were contributed by Jana Windsor and Casey Berger. The PBHS squad was behind by one, 13-12, at the end of the first period.

Both teams had good defensive pressure in the second quarter. Dalli Hammond added two threes from the outside perimeter. It was all even at the half, 22-22.

Fouls throughout the game sent both teams to the free throw line. Burrton capitalized on their charity shots down the stretch to make the difference in the final score, 50-48.
