Burns church to host supper, auction bazaar
Burns United Methodist Church will host its annual supper and auction bazaar Saturday at the church.
Supper will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall and will feature smoked beef brisket, turkey and dressing casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn or green beans, salad, homemade rolls, pie, and coffee or tea. Free will donations will be accepted for the meal.
Door prizes will be awarded and craft items will be for sale. This year's quilt will be on display in the church with the opportunity to purchase tickets for a drawing to win the quilt.
The queen-sized quilt was designed by Sandra Heyman and made by the women of the church.
The auction bazaar will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Burns Community Building. Several handmade items will be auctioned.
The community building will be open after 2 p.m. to receive items for the auction.
A drawing for the quilt will conclude the evening. Proceeds from the supper and auction go to support programs in the local church and community.
