BPA chapter competes at state
The local Peabody-Burns High School chapter of Business Professionals of America competed at the 2007 state leadership conference held in mid-February in Wichita.
"Destination: Success," was the theme for the conference in which 435 high school students competed.
Four PBHS students, Joseph Brunner, Derrick Simmonds, Laura Hoffmann, and Danyel Kallansrud, were honored with a Statesman Torch Award.
The award is presented to students who show outstanding professional qualities in the areas of leadership, service, cooperation, knowledge, friendship, love/hope/faith, and patriotism.
