Boys win again in cross country

For the third competition in a row, Peabody-Burns High School boys' varsity team finished Thursday in first place.
The team scored a meet-low 60 points.
Aaron Topham medaled in third place with a 5K-time of 18 minutes, 40 seconds.
Duane Unruh was ninth with a time of 19:03, Kendall Wiebe 10th at 19:03, and Ryan Wiebe was 12th at 19:18.
Josh Klarmann was 36th with a time of 20:34, Sheldon Wiebe was 40th with a time of 20:38, Seth Methvin came in at 50th with a time of 21:12, and Ethan Riggs' time of 22:02 was good for 55th.
The girls' junior varsity was again led by freshman Lauren Pickens with another first-place finish.
She ran the 4K-course in 19:14.
Samantha Pickens came in 24th with a time of 23:02, Erica Frederick was 29th with a time of 27:01, and Heather Brooks was 30th after finishing in 29:18.
Amanda Pickens was 21st in the junior high girls' race with a time of 19:19.
In the junior high boys' division, Christian Gard came in second with a one-mile time of 5:46.
Seth Topham was 20th at 6:50, and Zach Preheim was 34th with a time of 8:01.
