Boys' powerlifting team claims first at Halstead

The Peabody-Burns High School power lifters recently attended the Dragon Power Classic in Halstead. The men's team took first overall, while the women brought home a fourth-place finish. The team will spend the next two weeks training for the upcoming State meet, April 12, in Meade.

148 Class — Chad Flasschoen (fourth overall), sixth squat, first bench, fifth clean; Bryan Swenson, ninth squat, 12th bench, 10th clean.

156 Class — Kenny Mayfield (fifth overall), sixth squat, fifth bench, fourth clean.
