Bowling league forming
Even with triple digit temperatures, the folks at Peabody Lanes are getting ready for fall and winter league bowling.
A new women's league will be scheduled for Tuesday nights. Whether you have bowled in the past or are new to the sport, all lady bowlers are welcome.
There will be an organizational meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the bowling alley. Actual bowling will begin Sept. 2.
The Wednesday night league will meet at 7 p.m. Aug. 27 and begin league action Sept. 3.
Thursday night men's league will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday with opening night scheduled for Sept. 4.
Instructional, student, and mixed leagues also will be forming. Watch for upcoming announcements.
