Bobby Keith
Bobby G. Keith, 69, of Bentley, died July 19, 2004, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis, Wichita.
Born Feb. 4, 1935, at Elk Ville, Ill., he was the son of William and Mary (Watson) Keith.
On Dec. 21, 1969, he married Hester Buller in Tulsa, Okla.
Formerly of Newton, he was a maintenance worker employed by Peterson's Chicken Farms.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and helping neighbors and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, sister, and one granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, Hester of Bentley; eight sons, Robert Keith and Keith Oakes Jr. of Tulsa, Okla., Bobby Keith, Troy Keith and Mark Oakes of Bentley, William Oakes of Wichita, Ralph Oakes of Emporia, and Richard Oakes of Peabody; two sisters, Zella Haddock of Goreville, Ill., and Linda Thompson of Deland, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Monday morning at Bentley Methodist Church.
A memorial fund was established with American Heart Association.
