Bloodmobile to visit Peabody Sept. 12 years ago
American Red Cross officials are asking residents to donate blood and support those who host blood drives in this area.
The Peabody blood drive, from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 12), again will be hosted by Progressive Mothers Club at Peabody United Methodist Church.
In Burns, a donor coach will accept donations from 2:15 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Burns Community Center. For more information contact Carol Callahan at the city office, 727-5819.
To be a donor, individuals must be in general good health, weigh 110 pounds or more, and be at least 17 years old, (or 16 in Kansas with a completed Parental Consent Form, available online at www.bloodgiveslife.org.)
Walk-in donors are welcome, but appointments are encouraged. Call1-800-GIVE-LIFE (1-800-448-3543) to make an appointment. All donors should bring their blood donor card or a photo ID.
