Beverly Artman
Beverly Maurice Artman, 60, of Whitewater, died Feb. 1, 2003, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
Born May 13, 1942, at Clay, Ky., he was the son of Norman and Rebecca Louise (Herron) Artman.
He attended Clay, Ky., schools, graduated from Clay High School in 1960, and graduated from college with a bachelor's degree.
A retired Wichita police officer, he also was employed with Carlson Systems.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mark Allen; and one brother.
Survivors include a son, Jeffrey of Whitewater; brother, Pete Liles of Sturgis, Ky.; sister, Norma Hendrix of Madisonville, Ky.; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Whitewater Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Kemp officiating.
A memorial fund has been established with the American Lung Association.
