Bev Hunt
Beverly Anne Hunt, 60, of Newton, died April 18, 2006, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Joseph Campus, Wichita.
Born Sept. 14, 1945, at Newton, she was the daughter of Everett and Eva (Smiley) Smith.
She was a 1963 graduate of Peabody High School and earned a degree in social work from Wichita State University.
In 1964, she married David Hunt at Newton. He died in 1970.
She was preceded in death by her father and husband.
Survivors include her mother, Eva Kinkead of Wichita; daughter, Brenda Whitehead of Mulvane; son, David Lee Hunt II of Fargo, N.D.; brother, James Smith of Overland Park; sister, Teresa Kelzer of Wichita; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Petersen Funeral Home with Chaplain Jeanine Arnold officiating.
Burial was in Arlington National Cemetery.
