Bethel names scholars
Area students recently were named to the spring semester honor roll at Bethel College.
Students named to the dean's list for earning a 3.7 to 4.0 grade point average were juniors Aislinn Conrad of Goessel, and Kent Peters and Amanda Wyatt of Hillsboro; and seniors Robyn Penner, Hillsboro, Daniel Unruh, Peabody, and Kelcy Voth, Goessel.
Students named to the honor roll for earning a 3.5 to 3.69 GPA were juniors Sarah Regier, Goessel, and Michael Unruh, Peabody; and senior Jennifer Clark, Hillsboro.
Unruh earns FAA ratings
Max Unruh, Peabody, a senior in aviation maintenance at Kansas State University at Salina, earned a mechanic certificate with airframe and powerplant ratings.
All certifications and ratings are given by the Federal Aviation Administration upon successful completion of the required written and practical examinations.
Before students are allowed to take the exams, they must complete a minimum of 1,900 contact hours of instruction.
