Awareness workshop planned

A seminar for community members to raise awareness of area methamphetamine problems will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 8 at Junction City.

Sponsored through a collaboration of the Eighth Judicial District Community Corrections and Court Services, Regional Prevention Centers of North Central Kansas, Northeast Kansas, and Flint Hills, and Kansas Narcotic Officers Association, the workshop will provide information about the drug endangered children program and to begin initiatives in Kansas communities.

Professionals who are encouraged to attend are those associated with law enforcement, judicial systems, social and rehabilitation services, fire departments and EMS units, hospitals and medical practices, day-cares, schools, and county health departments.
