Another round of classes available at Zion Mennonite
Deadlines are just around the corner for more classes and activities taught by members of Zion Mennonite Church at Elbing.
Church members are offering their talents this summer in a program called, "Creativity in God's Neighborhood." Individuals have signed up to teach crafts, cooking, athletic skills, and informative topics on history and culture.
Centerpiece arrangements and dried arrangements will be offered June 23 at Zion Mennonite, with registration due by Saturday. These classes are each limited to six students and are geared to those 14 years of age and older.
On June 30, two licensed beauticians will be available at the church to do fingernail painting for young ladies age 14 and younger. Registration must be in by June 28.
Study of the life and culture of West African people will be offered July 6 for young people ages 7 to 10. This is an hour-long class offered at the church and limited to eight students. June 29 is the deadline to register for this interesting presentation.
Students ages 8 to 14 are invited to make a tasty treat July 12, in a class taught by Peabody-Burns Elementary science teacher Kathy Preheim. "Ice Cream Edible Geology" will cover some exciting science concepts as well. Register by July 5 to be included in this class.
