Annual golf fund-raiser to benefit Peabody students
Area golfers are invited to participate Sunday at the 13th annual George Holm New Year's Day Memorial Golf Tournament. Funds go to a college scholarship fund given annually at Peabody-Burns High School in Holm's name.
Golfers may sign up from 11 a.m. to noon at the American Legion, 108 N. Walnut, Peabody. A drawing will be held immediately following the sign-up.
Golfers will tee off at noon at Lakeside Country Club on U.S.-50.
Entrants will be charged a $15 participation fee which will cover green fees, a T-shirt, and a chili feed.
