Ammeter serves on election board

LaVonne Ammeter was in Marion Monday to pick up the ballots.

LaVonne Ammeter and Maude Gaines worked on the election board all day Tuesday. Joyce Kyle and LaVonne took the ballots to Marion after the polls closed. It was a fair turnout, but we hope for a much better one in November.

Steve and Melody Magette of Greensburg arrived at the Ammeter farm Tuesday evening. Melody stayed all night and all day Wednesday. Steve went on to Manhattan to a meeting. He picked Melody up late Wednesday evening and they returned to Greensburg.

Ladies Aid quilted at LaVonne's Wednesday afternoon. Those attending were Sherry Nightengale, Maude Gaines, and Dorene Kirkpatrick. Melody Magette was a guest.

Dorene Kirkpatrick and LaVonne Ammeter went to El Dorado Friday afternoon.

Don Gillet was a Thursday and Friday visitor of LaVonne.

LaVonne visited Betty and Glen Kyle Friday evening.

Melinda Gaines of rural Cassoday visited Maude Gaines on Friday. They ate lunch in Florence.

Steve and Melody Magette of Greensburg were Saturday supper and overnight guests of LaVonne. They left Sunday for Salina to visit Kristen and Eric Magette. Stan Ammeter was an evening visitor.

LaVonne Ammeter met Jack and Carolyn Metz in Peabody Sunday and they attended the auction at Marshall's auction warehouse. Later in the afternoon Kathryn Ireland of Newton and Jack and Carolyn visited LaVonne at the farm. Stan was a late afternoon visitor.

Vicki Gantz of Perry visited Maude Gaines Saturday. Maude went home with her to spend a couple of days.
