Ammeter: Nightengale hosts 20th Century Club years ago

LaVonne picked up Betty Kyle, Joyce Kyle, and Lois Sayers Monday afternoon and they went to a Twentieth Century Club meeting at the home of Sherry Nightengale.

Maude Gaines ate lunch at the senior center in Peabody Monday and quilted.

LaVonne Ammeter visited Wednesday morning with Donella Humphries at the Town and Country Café in Florence.

Ladies Aid met at LaVonne's Wednesday afternoon. Those attending were Dorene Kirkpatrick, Maude Gaines, Sherry Nightengale, and Leona Widler.

Maude Gaines and LaVonne went to El Dorado Thursday. They stopped at Bill and Marie Clark's. Bill came home Wednesday from Wichita after having heart surgery last Friday. He is doing real well.

LaVonne and Maude took the cake for the monthly birthday party Monday, then went on to Marion. They ate lunch at The Big Scoop and stopped in Florence on the way home.

Melody Magette of Greensburg arrived at the Ammeter farm Friday afternoon to spend the night and Saturday. Later in the afternoon, Myron and Sally Ammeter of Grand Island, Neb., arrived to spend the weekend with LaVonne and Sally's mom, Opal Craney.

Friday supper guests of LaVonne were Myron and Sally Ammeter, Stan Ammeter, and Melody Magette.

Kerri Wiebe and Tiana visited LaVonne a short while Friday evening.

There was water trouble at the Ammeter farm Saturday morning. Good ol' Jeff Inlow from Florence to the rescue. Dinner guests of LaVonne were Myron, Sally, Melody, and Don Gillet. Stan was an early morning caller.

LaVonne and Maude Gaines attended church and Sunday school at Ebenezer Church Sunday morning. Afterward they ate lunch at the Chuck Wagon and visited Elsie Tittle in the afternoon.

Mack and Shayla Clark brought their little girl Hadlye Shay home on Wednesday. We are so glad to have them home. We wish them well. Haven't seen her yet, but I will soon.
