Ammeter news: 'Planning begins for Burns class reunion

LaVonne met Kenneth and Pat Phillips of El Dorado and Leland Stucky of Newton Monday at Burns Café to plan a class reunion for Burns High School classes of 1948-50.

LaVonne visited Maude Gaines Wednesday morning. Later Michele Boise and Dylan visited LaVonne and were luncheon guests.

Sherry Nightengale and Dorene Kirkpatrick attended Ladies Aid Wednesday afternoon at LaVonne's.

Maude Gaines and LaVonne were in Marion Thursday for doctor appointments. They ate lunch in Florence and visited with Donella Humphries.

LaVonne helped at the bloodmobile canteen Friday morning at Peabody United Methodist Church. Other workers were Marge Gray, Gwen Gaines, Ariel Gaines, Arlene Unruh, Paralee Bloomer, and Mildred Buller.

Emily Haxton and Avery arrived Friday evening to spend the weekend with Grandma. Stan Ammeter was a supper guest.

Melody Magette of Greensburg arrived Saturday morning for lunch and Steve Magette came later in the afternoon to spend the weekend with LaVonne, Emily, and Avery. Stan Ammeter also was a dinner guest.

Melody, Emily, and Avery visited Saturday afternoon with the John Boises.

LaVonne and Melody went shopping Sunday afternoon in Newton.

Maude Gaines went to Perry Saturday with her daughter Shelly Harper. They spent the weekend with Sally and Jim Abel and celebrated Maude's birthday.
