LaVonne's nephew Mike Mayfield of Williamsburg, Va., stopped Monday to visit while on a cross-country bicycle trip home from the west coast. He and LaVonne met Carolyn and Jack Metz of Wichita for lunch at Burns Café. Mike arrived home Wednesday afternoon in Williamsburg.

Michele Boise and Maude Gaines visited Tuesday evening with LaVonne.

Ladies Aid met Wednesday at LaVonne's. Sherry Nightengale, Maude Gaines, and Dorene Kirkpatrick were the quilters. Michele Boise, Dylan, Chloe, and Eric were afternoon visitors to help decorate cakes.

Carol Ammeter of Ellinwood came late Wednesday evening to spend the night.

Thursday she and LaVonne went to Wamego to spend the weekend with Chad, Angela, and Mitchell Bunger. They helped Angela with some work and took care of great-grandson Mitchell. He's doing very well. Had a great time!

Myron and Sally Ammeter of Grand Island, Neb., spent Friday night with Opal Craney and went to the Bungers Saturday. They returned to Opal and LaVonne's Saturday evening. They were overnight and Sunday guests of LaVonne. Don Gillet and Stan Ammeter joined them for Sunday dinner.

LaVonne visited Maude Gaines Sunday afternoon.

We extend our sympathy, love, and prayers to Pastor Linda and to Mark's family. May God's love comfort each of you.

Hope you all have a great Fourth of July weekend.
