Maude Gaines and I went this past Thursday to El Dorado. Michele Boise and Dylan were evening visitors.

Lisa Clark visited LaVonne Friday afternoon.

Myron and Sally Ammeter of Grand Island, Neb., arrived Saturday night at the Ammeter farm. They had been to the K-State football game.

Myron, Sally, and LaVonne went Sunday morning to pick up Opal Craney and they headed back to Grand Island.

They ate lunch in Hillsboro. Monday afternoon they took out for Minnesota, spending the night in Des Moines, Iowa, and then to Bloomington where granddaughter, Amy Drake teaches music at Ridge View Elementary School. We attended the second grade program, "Turkeys Go On Strike." So neat, sure makes a grandma proud.

We then went to Amy and Doug's to spend the rest of the week. Rob and Christi, Samantha, Alison, and Jacob Ammeter arrived Thursday from Greenville, S.C., and Chad and Angela Bunger and Mitchell from Wamego arrived Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving.

We had a great day Friday and Saturday playing with the great-grandkids. It snowed two inches Friday, so we played in the snow. It was cold there in Maple Grove, a suburb of Minneapolis.

We headed back to Kansas Sunday morning, driving through rain, hail, sleet, and snow. It was a great week but home always looks good. Myron and Sally went home and ran into blizzard conditions in Nebraska.

We didn't have Ladies Aid this past week because of the holiday.

We extend our prayers and sympathy to the family of Stan Geisel. He will be missed. Also sympathy to Jim and Nancy Davis and the Nelson family.

Maude Gaines, Ronnie and Patti Gaines, Dusty Gaines of Wichita, and Herb and Melinda Gaines of rural Cassody all went to the Shelly Harper home at Inman for Thanksgiving.

Stan Ammeter was a Thanksgiving Day guest of the John Boises. They had lots of family for dinner and a visitor from Colorado. Chloe was home from El Dorado for the holidays.

Dan and Kerri Wiebe and family spent Thanksgiving at the home of Hazel and Delbert Wiebe, Dan's parents.
