Ammeter News: LaVonne delivers birthday cake to Legacy Park

Sherry Nightengale, Dorene Kirkpatrick, and Maude Gaines met Wednesday at LaVonne's for Ladies Aid.
Michele Boese and Dylan helped decorated a birthday cake for Legacy Park Thursday. LaVonne delivered it Friday morning and visited Aunt Nonie Widler, Ruth Arnold, and Esther Kellum.
Katie Watts of Jefferson City, Mo., arrived Friday evening. She and LaVonne ate lunch Saturday at the new restaurant in Burns. They visited Ebenezer, Whitewater Center, and Summit cemeteries. Katie left for Newton late afternoon to visit her grandparents.
Myron and Sally Ammeter, Melody and Steve Magette, Kevin and Emily Haxton, and the neat little great-grandson Avery arrived Saturday to spend the weekend. We all visited with Ike and Marie Clark at Summit Cemetery after supper.
Sunday morning we all attended church at Summit. Pastor Donna's sermon was so good as usual.
Sunday after church Chad and Angela and great-grandson Mitchell of Junction City and Eric and Kristin Magette and great-grandson Matthew arrived. We all went to Burns Community Building to attend the Ammeter reunion. We were joined by Sally's mother, Opal Craney of Peabody, and Blaine and Carol Ammeter and Todd of Ellinwood.
The Ammeter reunion was a huge success with 65 relatives in attendance and a delicious meal catered by Arletta Koehn. Picture taking, a fun meeting, and visiting filled the afternoon. My, did I enjoy the grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, and nephews. Reunions sure make you appreciate families.
Sunday overnight and Monday guests of LaVonne were Blaine and Carol Ammeter and Todd, and B.J. and Jodi Ammeter of Overland Park. Monday afternoon they visited Don and Marjorie Gfeller.
Maude Gaines and Joyce Barker of Wichita were dinner guests of Ike and Marie Clark Sunday. Bill and Marie Clark of El Dorado were afternoon visitors.
Stan Ammeter visited LaVonne Monday.
Maude and LaVonne were in Peabody Thursday afternoon.
