Ammeter news: Ladies attend layette shower

Norma Clark and LaVonne went Saturday afternoon to Florence to a layette shower for Peggy Clark at her home.
Maude Gaines and LaVonne went to Durham Monday to get peaches. They ate lunch in Durham at the café.
Marie Clark visited LaVonne Monday afternoon.
Michele Boise and Dylan visited LaVonne Tuesday afternoon.
Betty Kyle picked up LaVonne Wednesday morning and they went to Marion for lunch and shopping.
Ladies Aide met Wednesday afternoon at LaVonne's. Sherry Nightengale, Dorene Kirkpatrick, and Maude Gaines came to quilt.
LaVonne and Kerrie Wiebe and Tianna went Thursday morning to Burns. Later in the afternoon LaVonne visited Maude Gaines.
Cousin Bertie Wooster of Herington called LaVonne Friday morning to tell her cousin Ed Miller had a massive stroke and died.
Blaine Ammeter of Ellinwood arrived late Friday evening at the Ammeter farm to spend the weekend.
Saturday afternoon Stan Ammeter and John Boise and Dylan visited LaVonne. Later in the evening Chloe and B.J. Claassen, Nick and Gage stopped by LaVonne's.
After the Kansas State football game Blaine Ammeter, B.J. and Jodie Ammeter, and Todd Ammeter of Manhattan came Saturday evening to LaVonne's to spend the Labor Day weekend.
B.J. and Blaine took Jodie to Wichita Sunday morning to meet and visit her folks at her brother's home.
Kerrie Wiebe, Tiana, Kenton, and Natalia went to Oklahoma to visit Kerrie's folks for the weekend.
Kathryn Ireland of Newton and Carolyn Metz of Wichita picked up LaVonne Sunday afternoon and went to Herington to Ed Miller's funeral at the Methodist church.
Steve and Melody Magette of Dodge City arrived Sunday afternoon at LaVonne's to spend the night and Monday. They had been to the K-State game and spent Saturday night with Eric and Kristin Magette and great-grandson Matthew.
Sunday supper guests of LaVonne were Stan Ammeter, B.J. and Jodie Ammeter, Todd Ammeter, and Steve and Melody Magette.
