Blaine Ammeter of Ellinwood came Saturday morning to pick up LaVonne and go to Manhattan to B.J. and Jodi Ammeter's. Jodi graduated that afternoon from K-State with a degree in computer science. After graduation Blaine and grandma LaVonne went back to B.J. and Jodi's for dinner and pictures. Jodi's parents, Donna and Wayne Wulf of Cimarron, Jen and Travis Wulf of Wichita, and an aunt and uncle from Kansas City also were guests of the Ammeters. Blaine brought LaVonne home and went back to Ellinwood late evening.
We didn't have Ladies Aid this past week because of the snow storm. Michele Boise visited Wednesday and Thursday evening with LaVonne.
Todd Ammeter of Ellinwood had back surgery Dec. 6. He is recuperating at home. Carol and Todd did not get to attend the graduation. Todd is coming along OK.
LaVonne attended church Sunday at Whitewater Center.
Gary Davis of Newton was an afternoon and supper guest of LaVonne. Stan Ammeter joined them. Later in the evening Gary and LaVonne attended the Christmas program at the Summit church. They had a nice crowd. Pastor Linda had such a nice message and Steve Glover played all the Christmas hymns.
LaVonne picked up Betty Kyle and Becky Kyle Monday to attend the Christmas meeting of 20th Century Club at the Norma Clark home. We played bingo and had refreshments.
Stan Ammeter was a Tuesday evening supper guest of LaVonne.
Maude Gaines and LaVonne attended the monthly dinner of Burns senior citizens Tuesday at Burns Community Building. We played white elephant bingo. The students from Eden Mennonite Church sang Christmas songs for the group. A group of sixth graders from Peabody Elementary School brought small gifts and sang "Jingle Bells" for the group.
Michele Boise visited Monday morning with LaVonne. They decorated cakes.
Christmas almost is upon us. We wish you all a very merry Christmas and God's blessing.
We wish a speedy recovery to Stan Saner and Rosalie Heath.
