Ammeter news: Group travels to Iowa to visit relatives

I've been traveling so I missed two weeks. Hope I won't bore you terribly as I catch up.
Two weeks ago news
Carolyn Metz came to spend the night June 30 at LaVonne's. Carol Ammeter, Don and Marge Gfeller, LaVonne, and Carolyn went to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Friday to visit relatives.
They stayed in a Marion, Iowa, motel and met up with cousins Glenda Krupa and Emily of Oregon City, Ore., and Laura Kassebaum, Elise and Raquel of St. Paul, Mo.
Saturday they all went to brunch at the home of Richard and Phyllis Ammeter in the country outside Central City, Iowa. Gary and Phyllis Ammeter of Blue Grass, Iowa, joined them.
That evening they all were supper guests of Richard and Phyllis' daughter and family John and Traci, Maurice, Miles, and Malette at Cedar Rapids.
They attended church Sunday in Coogan, Iowa, went to the Ammeter farm where their son Chris lives, then back to Richard and Phyllis' for ice cream and cake.
Early July Fourth they left for home, arriving at LaVonne's late afternoon.
LaVonne went to the John Boise's the evening of July 4 for supper and fireworks. Carol and Blondie Logan also were there.

LaVonne and Maude Gaines visited Aunt Nonie Wilder Thursday afternoon at Legacy Park.
Blaine Ammeter of Ellinwood arrived Friday evening to spend the night and Saturday. He and Stan fixed fence all day Saturday. John Boise, Dylan and Eric helped Saturday afternoon.
LaVonne went to Ellinwood with Blaine Saturday night and stayed until Sunday afternoon. They attended church and a church dinner. Sunday afternoon Chris and Nancy Baird, Bailey and Kadin visited at Blaine and Carol's.
Later Steve and Melody Magette of Dodge City came to take LaVonne home with them to stay until Tuesday. The Magettes recently moved to Dodge City. Tuesday late afternoon Melody brought LaVonne home.
This week's news
Wednesday afternoon Sherry Nightengale, Maude Gaines, and Dorene Kirkpatrick attended Ladies Aid at LaVonne's.
Dorene and LaVonne were in El Dorado Thursday.
Maude and LaVonne were in Peabody Friday.
Michele Boise and Dylan visited LaVonne Friday evening.
Stan Ammeter was a supper guest Friday and Saturday evening.
Sunday dinner guests of Maude Gaines were Dick and Vickie Gantz, Allison, William, and Cory, and Jean Gaines of Holton; Sally and Jim Abel and Troy and Sarah Abel and Hannah of Perry.
We're all glad the Dan Wiebes are home from their vacation. Dan was injured, but at this writing is getting better. We wish him a speedy recovery.
