Sherry Nightengale, Maude Gaines, and Dorene Kirkpatrick met at LaVonne's Wednesday afternoon for Ladies Aid.

Bob Hartnagel and Michele Montgomery and Skylar stopped by LaVonne's Wednesday evening.

Maude Gaines and LaVonne were in Marion shopping Thursday. They ate lunch at The Big Scoop.

LaVonne visited Aunt Nonie Widler, Esther Kellum, and Jessie Bayes at Legacy Park Friday morning.

Saturday afternoon Steve and Melody Magette of Dodge City arrived followed by Myron and Sally later in the afternoon. Stan Ammeter joined them all for supper.

Blaine and Carol Ammeter of Ellinwood arrived Sunday morning. They all went to Burns Community Building for the Clark reunion. Forty-nine people attended the reunion. Lots and lots of good food, visiting, and picture taking filled the day. I felt the day went really great. Later in the evening the Magettes and the Myron Ammeters left for their homes. Blaine and Carol went to visit Don and Marjorie Gfeller and then returned home.

Don Gillet visited LaVonne Wednesday afternoon.

Michele Boese visited LaVonne late Tuesday afternoon.

How about this heat? I'm looking forward to winter. Thank God for air conditioning.

June 28-July 12

Blaine Ammeter of Ellinwood and Stan Ammeter were Wednesday dinner guests of LaVonne. Blaine returned to Ellinwood that evening.

Ladies Aid met at LaVonne's Wednesday afternoon. Sherry Nightengale, Dorene Kirkpatrick, and Maude Gaines attended.

Melody Magette of Dodge City arrived at the Ammeter farm Friday morning. LaVonne returned to Dodge City to spend a few days. Amanda, Brian, and Bethany Kantack of Colorado Springs arrived late afternoon at the Magettes to spend four days. Kevin and Emily Hoxton and Avery of Ellsworth joined the group Monday afternoon. Two great-grandchildren for Great-Grandma LaVonne to enjoy. We celebrated Bethany's second birthday with ice cream and cake and then shot off fireworks. Wow! What fun. We also went to the zoo. Dodge City has a nice zoo. We fed the goats and ducks, played in the park, and attended the movies, "Over the Hedge," and "Cars." Both were really good movies. The Kantacks and Hoxtons returned to their homes Tuesday afternoon and evening. Steve, Melody, and LaVonne attended the fireworks later in the evening. They were good but don't compare to Peabody's. Of course, I'm partial. I've attended Peabody's 4th of July celebration as long as I can remember.

Melody brought me home late Wednesday and stayed overnight. Stan Ammeter was an evening visitor.

LaVonne and Maude were shopping Friday in Peabody and Marion.

Josh Clark visited LaVonne Saturday morning.

We had church at Summit Sunday morning. Pastor Donna's last Sunday. We will sure miss her. We are looking forward to our new minister Sunday.

Sunday dinner guests of LaVonne were Gary Davis of Newton, Stan Ammeter, and Maude Gaines. Later in the afternoon, Maude and I visited Elsie Tittle in Florence.

We express our prayers and sympathy to the Mildred Rempel and Pat McClure families.

Maude Gaines and LaVonne attended the monthly senior potluck dinner at Burns Senior Center Tuesday. Later in the afternoon they visited Ike and Marie Clark. Gloria Handle, Diane Nelson, and Lisa Johnson and Garrett were there so we got to visit with them too.

LaVonne visited Mildred Bular and Marge and Fordyce Gray Monday afternoon.
