We had church Sunday morning at Summit. We really enjoy our minister, Pastor David.
Surely we're enjoying this cooler weather and the showers. Don't forget to thank the Lord for the rain.

Myron and Sally Ammeter of Grand Island, Neb., arrived Friday afternoon at the Ammeter farm to pick up LaVonne. They went to Newton and picked up Carol Ammeter and Kathryn Ireland. Mryon and Sally, LaVonne, Carol, Kathryn, Katie Watts, and friend Amanda, went to the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum. Such a sad feeling as you read the names of those who died there and those who survived. Then we went to the arboretum. We returned to the hotel and were luncheon guests of George and Rose Watts.
Later in the afternoon we attended the wedding of Matthew and Seyan at the Council Road Baptist Church at Bethany, Okla. It was a lovely ceremony and such a large, beautiful church. There was lots of family and lots of members from the Frojier church in Missouri where George is the minister. After the ceremony and picture-taking, we went to the Chinese restaurant. We enjoyed the authentic Chinese food and visiting. What a great evening.
Sunday morning we all met in the hotel for breakfast and then loaded up and started for home. We ate lunch at Newton. Myron and Sally visited a short time with Stan and then went to spend the night with Sally's mom, Opal Craney.
Myron and Sally Ammeter took Opal Craney to McPherson Monday to the ear doctor. Later they left for home and went to Junction City to see how Mitchell got along with surgery Monday morning. At this writing he is doing fine.
The Dan Wiebe family attended a wedding in Oklahoma over the weekend. They returned home Monday afternoon.
Tuesday afternoon, LaVonne attended the ceremony at the Burns Community Building. Jerry Moran presented the "Building Better Communities" award to the citizens of Burns. They had a nice crowd and such a nice recognition for Burns.
We sure enjoyed the rain and cooler weather. A nice break!
