Ladies' Aid met Wednesday afternoon at LaVonne's. Dorene and Sherry attended.

I had some of the neatest trick-or-treaters Wednesday evening. Sarah and Autumn Padgett from Florence, John and Michele Boese and John's sister, Laci brought Dylan and Zane. The Wedel kids and Mac and Shayla and Marie Clark brought Hadleigh. Really some cool costumes. I always enjoy the kids. Stan Ammeter came earlier in the evening.

LaVonne went to Marion Thursday. I visited Maude Gaines at St. Luke Hospital in the afternoon.

I cooked all day Friday, getting ready for hunters. Blaine Ammeter of Ellinwood and B.J. and Jodi Ammeter of Gardner came late evening. Stan came later, too.

Saturday the hunters took out early. Dinner guest of LaVonne were Stan, Blaine, and B.J., John Boese, Bob Hartnegall, Michele Montgomery, my sister Kathryn Ireland of Newton, and Jodi. Kathryn came Saturday morning and we decorated a wedding cake for a couple in Newton. We were real busy and had so much fun. Kathryn left late in the afternoon and Jodi went to Wichita to her brother's home to visit her folks from Cimarron. She stayed overnight and came back Sunday afternoon.

Sunday dinner guests were Stan, Blaine, and B.J. They all left late afternoon for home.

Lawrence and Lois Sayers visited LaVonne Sunday evening.

Isn't this lovely fall weather?

Our sympathy and prayers to the Grosse family in their loss of son, Kenneth.

Hope you all have a good week.

We had church at Summit Sunday. The congregation was small but Pastor Dave had such a wonderful message. They're always good but this one was excellent.

I visited Carol and Blondie Logan Monday morning. In the afternoon I went to Peabody Senior Center and helped them make peppernuts. Oh! They're so good. Sure was fun.

John Boese and Dylan and Stan Ammeter visited LaVonne Tuesday afternoon. Early evening I got a call from Rose Watts of Agency, Mo., telling me they had their first grandchild. They were so excited. The proud parents are Matt and Seyan Watts, who live in California. Talked to Auntie Kate and Anna, too. The baby was a little girl. It was so exciting for us all. Earlier Carolyn Metz had called to tell the news.
